چکیده
Purpose: To evaluate the surgical outcomes of primary early endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (EnDCR) in acute dacryocystitis (AD) and to determine optimal timing for surgery. Methods: A retrospective review medical records was performed on consecutive patients who underwent EnDCR (within 1 week) AD between May 2010 June 2020 (AD group) an age- gender-matched control group NLDO (non-AD group). The outcome measures were at final follow-up examination. secondary measure clinical course patients. Subgroup analysis surgery by comparing very 3 days) those (between 4 7 days). Results: Forty-one included 82 non-AD group. anatomical functional success rates 87.8% 82.9% group, 91.5% 84.1% which not significantly different two groups (p = 0.532 p 0.863). In mean times pain relief resolution swelling after 2.4 6.5 days surgery, respectively. subgroup according time symptom diagnosis, length hospital stays, duration antibiotic treatments shorter (all ps < 0.05), whereas 1.000). Conclusions: Primary is a safe effective procedure treatment AD. particular, within leads faster recovery shortens treatment.

متن کاملEndoscopic ultrasonic dacryocystorhinostomy for recurrent dacryocystitis following rhinoplasty.
UNLABELLED The lacrimal sac is the structure most vulnerable to injury when performing rhinoplastic osteotomies. When performed in a low lateral position or along the frontal process of the frontal-maxillary suture, osteotomies can potentially tear the medial canthal tendon and injure the underlying lacrimal sac, possibly resulting in dacryocystitis. In this case report, the authors discuss a c...
